In 1997, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Newman University in Wichita Kansas. She started her career as a registered nurse in the post-surgical trauma floor where she discovered her love for skin while caring for patients transferred from the burn center.

She began the pursuit of a Master of Science in Nursing family practice and completed her degree in 2004. Then, she went on to work with a general trauma/burn surgeon as a first assist in the operating room. Her role also included burn patient follow ups in office, hospital, and intensive care rounds, pre and post op patient education and care.

In 2006, she accepted a position at the dermatology practice where she completed her last rotation in the master’s program. She has precepted Nurse practitioner students in Kansas, California, and Arizona.

The last 2 decades as a dermatology nurse partitioner have taken her from Kansas to California and to the Valley of the Sun which she has called home for the past ten years. She enjoys cooking, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, yoga, and traveling with her 5 sons. The oldest two are attending college in Kansas and the triplets are in high school in Mesa.

Holly’s zeal for life and love for a healthy skin drives her desire to improve and save lives with her efficient, competent, direct, and transparent approach to quality patient care. Not only does she practice with a provider perspective, but also patient perspective. As a child from the 70’s full of sunburns to growing up in the 80’s with tanning beds, Holly is survivor of skin cancer too. Her experience both personal and professional translates to the next level care she provides: honest, authentic, competent, and relatable with a passion to heal.
